Barbara Bickham
Barbara Bickham graduated from The Ohio State University in 1981 with a degree in communications. In 2005, she started her career as a health insurance agent. For more than 18 years, she has been helping Medicare beneficiaries enroll in health insurance plans.
Prior to becoming a health insurance agent, Barbara spent many years working in administration for private physician offices and a hospital rehabilitation center. She has always felt that this background in the healthcare field has given her a deeper understanding of what is most important to her clients in making good choices when it comes to their health insurance needs.
In addition to helping Medicare beneficiaries select their health plans, she is often booked for speaking engagements to explain the ABCs of Medicare. Barb and her husband, Rod, reside in the Indian Lake area. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her children and grandchildren and enjoying the lake.
Sarah Herring
In 2013, Barb’s daughter, Sarah Herring, became a licensed health insurance agent and together they founded Bickham & Herring Insurance.
Sarah is a 2009 graduate of Franklin University in Columbus, Ohio with a degree in human resources management. When it comes to Medicare plans, she believes there is not a one-size-fits-all solution. As an independent broker for more than 10 years, Sarah strives to understand her client’s needs to find the Medicare plan that works best for each individual.
In her free time, she likes spending time with her husband, Brad, and daughters, Norah, and Elsie. Sarah also enjoys cooking, traveling, and exploring the outdoors.
Brad Herring
In 2021, Brad (Sarah's husband) joined the family business full time. Brad has a background in management and customer service. His experience and background has been a great addition to the team.
Brad is a graduate of the University of Northwestern Ohio. He holds a bachelors degree in Business Administration as well as a degree in High Performance Automotive Technology. Brad is very well rounded and can assist with anything in the business.
Brad likes to spend his time with his children (Norah and Elsie) and wife (Sarah) . Brad enjoys working outdoors, watching sports, and fishing.
Rod Bickham
In 2013, Rod (Barb's Husband) became a licensed health insurance agent . Rod retired from Honda with 28 years of service. Rod has been an agent for over 9 years. Rod has a great knowledge of the business and helps everyone. He is known as the man with the plan.
Rod spends his free time on the lake with his wife, kids, and grand kids. Rod also loves watching Ohio State Football, and is the sole Bengal fan out of the group. Rod also assists our other family business at Family Roots Tree Service from time to time. He is always willing to roll his sleeves up and help when needed.
